Sandia California's Thunderbird Toastmasters make fun of your fear. Or rather, we engage in America's most commonly mentioned fear: public speaking, and have fun doing it!
Yet, Toastmasters is not just about public speaking, but also improving skills for listening, leadership, running effective meetings, thinking on your feet, mentoring others, and improving confidence in social situations.
The Thunderbird Toastmasters has members at all skill levels and job categories. Many of our friendly and competent members won speaking contests, appeared on local television, or performed as accomplished humorists and storytellers as fairly recent beginners.
